From 5 Aspects Judge Your Boiler Whether is "REAL"

Do you believe that 12T boilers can be shipped in containers? Obviously, anyone who knows how to do it knows that this is impossible boiler delivery!

Purchasing a boiler is a complicated process. After confirming the space and production requirements, you start to ask the boiler manufacturer of your choice to make it. So how do you judge that the boiler produced by the boiler manufacturer is a “real” boiler that no cutting corners?

In order to allow boiler users to choose boilers more clearly, EPCB summarized five aspects for judging the authenticity of boilers,to prevent you from being deceived.

Five aspects to judge whether the boiler is cutting corners:

1.Boiler weight

2. Boiler sizes

3.Total weight of pressure parts

4. Clear boiler structure

5. Boiler quality certificate

1. Boiler weight

The weight of the boiler is generally marked on the nameplate of the boiler. If it is not on the nameplate, you need to look at the random information and the general drawing. The weight error is accurate at about 5%. If the weight difference exceeds this range, there is a possibility of cutting corners.

2. Boiler sizes 

The size of the boiler cannot be judged by its shape alone. It can be said that the larger the boiler, the larger the shape, but not the larger the shape of the boiler. The size of the boiler refers to the capacity of the boiler.

3. Total weight of pressure parts 

You can ask the factory to provide the weight of the pressure parts. This can be used as a reference. Generally, the larger the boiler capacity, the greater the total weight of the pressure parts. (Hint: some manufacturers will fill a lot of cement inside to increase the size and weight)

4.Clear boiler structure

Know the structure of the boiler, other specific details, the thickness of the drum steel plate, the size of the drum, the thickness and thickness of the threaded smoke tube, the number of threaded smoke tubes, and so on. This requires personnel with certain professional knowledge to judge.

5. Boiler quality certificate

Let the manufacturer provide the boiler quality certificate, which is issued by the local boiler inspection office and has certain reference value)

Through the above five aspects, it is possible to comprehensively judge whether the boiler is cutting corners, including boiler weight, total weight of pressure parts, and boiler structure,boiler quality certificate needs to be provided by the boiler supplier or needs to be judged by professionals. However, the boiler size can roughly judge whether the boiler is cutting corners from the appearance.

So, How do you judge whether your boiler is cutting corners from boiler sizes?

From Boiler’s  Delivery Method

Take the common export boiler loading of EPCB as an example,

Gas/oil-fired steam boiler -- WNS

Less than 2 tons (including 2 tons) can be loaded into a 20-foot high container or a 40-foot general container;

Within 5 tons (including 5 tons), it can be loaded into a 40-foot high-container container;

No more than 6 tons can be packed into a container.

A boiler of 6-10 tons can only be installed with a 40-foot frame.

The boiler of 10 to 12 tons depends on the unloading capacity of the destination port. If the unloading capacity of the destination port can be achieved, a 40-foot frame loading can be realized.

A 40-foot frame cannot be loaded with more than 12 tons , because the weight of the main body has exceeded the limit weight of the frame!

Note: (Under normal circumstances, Gas/oil-fired steam boiler of more than 4 tons cannot be loaded into a 40-foot high container, but after EPCB's modified design, container loading can be realized, which greatly saves customers' transportation costs to a certain extent)

Within 4 tons boiler, it can be delivered in a 40-foot frame,

6 tons boiler can be shipped in a 40-foot frame, but some countries have special requirements that cannot be achieved, and it must be based on specific port requirements;

8-12 tons boiler are all split, that is, the grate and the upper body are separated) can be transported by two 40-foot frames.

No frame transportation over 12 tons! If the frame cannot be transported, the bulk carrier is basically used!

Bulk carriers generally have a weight limit of 40 tons, specific consultations are needed for specific issues!

Based on the above information, you can roughly judge whether your boiler is “real”from the packaging volume of the product. For example, if you bought a 12T boiler and shipped it in a container, then your boiler must have been cut corners.
