In February, 2026, in the south of Manila, Philippines, a large-scale agricultural product processing factory ushered in a critical moment-with the completion of the last group of pipeline debugging, a 6-ton biomass steam boiler provided by EPCB boiler was successfully ignited and put into trial operation. The stable output of steam and the stable operation of the system indicate that the project has officially entered the stable operation stage.


This customer is managed by Mr Ramon, the local person in charge, and is mainly engaged in palm processing and rice processing. It is an agricultural product processing enterprise with a certain scale in the region. However, with the expansion of business scale, the original oil-fired boiler system gradually exposed the problems of high cost and environmental pressure:


Fuel prices continue to rise and energy costs remain high.


It is difficult for emissions to meet the increasingly stringent environmental protection policies.


The operation efficiency of the system is low and the maintenance cost is high.

Local Fuel Adaptation & Stable High-Efficiency Operation


At the beginning of January 2026, customers contacted EPCB boiler through foreign trade channels, and clearly put forward the following core requirements:


· A 6-ton/hour biomass steam boiler system is provided.


· Can stably burn local agricultural and forestry wastes such as palm shells and rice husks.

After receiving the demand, EPCB team quickly organized technical and sales teams to communicate for several rounds, and deeply understood the customer's production process, steam consumption curve, fuel characteristics and site layout conditions, laying a solid foundation for subsequent scheme design.

 

Customized System Design for Philippine Biomass Conditions


Based on customer demand and local fuel characteristics, EPCB boiler has tailored a 6 T/h chain grate biomass steam boiler system for it. The core highlights include:


1. Highly adaptable combustion system


The boiler adopts chain grate structure, which can adapt to palm shell and rice husk fuel with high volatility and high humidity. By optimizing the furnace structure and air distribution system, the fuel can be fully burned and the heat utilization efficiency can be improved.


2. Complete fuel processing and transportation system


The system is equipped with fuel pretreatment equipment (crushing and screening) and closed feeding system, which effectively ensures uniform fuel supply and avoids unstable combustion.


3. Efficient flue gas purification system


Equipped with multi-stage dust removal and flue gas treatment devices to ensure that the emissions meet the Philippine environmental standards and help customers successfully pass the local environmental audit.


4. Intelligent PLC control system


Realize one-button start, automatic operation and real-time monitoring, greatly reduce the difficulty of manual operation, and improve the security and stability of the system.


5. Targeted structural optimization


In view of the problem that local fuel is easy to coke and accumulate ash, the grate structure and ash cleaning system are specially optimized, which significantly reduces the maintenance frequency and prolongs the service life of equipment.


The comprehensive thermal efficiency of the whole system can reach more than 86%, which has obvious energy-saving advantages compared with traditional oil-fired boilers.

 

Efficient Transactions Through Professional Communication


In the scheme communication stage, EPCB team not only provided detailed technical parameters, but also analyzed the cost comparison between biomass fuel and fuel oil, the stability of boiler operation and fuel adaptability, and the long-term operation and maintenance costs from the perspective of customers' actual operation, so as to help customers fully understand the logic and economy of system operation.


At the same time, the team made a systematic calculation and explanation of the investment return cycle based on the actual project case, and presented the project value in a data-based way, effectively dispelling customers' concerns about fuel adaptability and operational risks and enhancing decision-making confidence.


Based on sufficient technical communication and trust establishment, the two parties finally formally signed a cooperation agreement on January 28, 2026, and agreed to complete the equipment delivery, installation and commissioning in early March.

 

Efficient & Professional Installation and Commissioning


The installation stage is the key to the successful landing of this project. EPCB boiler set up an on-site team composed of three experienced engineers, completed the visa, customs declaration and equipment transportation arrangements ahead of schedule, and arrived at the project site smoothly on March 1, laying a foundation for efficient follow-up.


In the equipment installation, in view of the actual situation of the narrow space in the factory, the team planned the hoisting path in advance, and used small lifting equipment and manual cooperation to realize the nondestructive and accurate positioning of the boiler body, ensuring both installation safety and efficiency.


In terms of pipeline construction, the local high temperature and high humidity environment is fully considered, corrosion-resistant materials are selected for the system, and the key interfaces are sealed and strengthened, which effectively ensures the long-term stable operation of the system and avoids the risk of leakage.


In the commissioning stage, the team finely adjusted the parameters of the crusher and the running speed of the grate in combination with the characteristics of palm shell fuel, so as to realize uniform spreading and stable combustion of fuel. Simultaneously optimize the flue gas treatment system to ensure that the overall emission meets the local environmental protection requirements.


In the whole process of management, EPCB boiler strictly implements safety regulations, carries out daily safety disclosure and implements standardized construction procedures, and supports perfect protective measures to realize the "zero accident" promotion of the project. At the same time, in order to meet the needs of customers to put into production as soon as possible, the team actively optimized the construction organization and shortened the original planned construction period from 15 days to 12 days through efficient collaboration, which fully reflected the professional execution and service response ability.

The results of trial operation show that the whole boiler runs stably without abnormal fluctuation. Full fuel combustion and high system thermal efficiency; The steam output is even, which can continuously meet the production demand. At the same time, all the indicators of flue gas emission meet the local environmental protection standards, and the system operation status meets the expected design requirements.


Compared with the original oil-fired boiler, the project is particularly outstanding in economy and operation management: the monthly energy cost is reduced by more than 30%, the frequency of equipment maintenance is significantly reduced, and the continuity and stability of production are effectively guaranteed.


The project not only successfully solved the long-term problems of high energy consumption and unstable operation faced by customers, but also provided solid support for enterprises to realize green and low-carbon production transformation.
